One-line summary
Flux Forward works with employers and organisations in the Netherlands on hiring preparation, onboarding and day-to-day collaboration with international colleagues.
What Flux Forward is
Flux Forward works with employers and organisations in the Netherlands on hiring preparation, onboarding and day-to-day collaboration with international colleagues. Support can take the form of workshops, team or individual mentoring, or a focused piece of hands-on work. We start with the situation and agree the scope, practical output, responsibilities, timing and fee before paid work begins.
It is not a generic career platform, not a job board, not an immigration service, and not only an events community or support offer.
How Flux Forward, HowToIn.nl and Bennu connect
- Flux Forward: practical employer-arranged workshops, team or individual mentoring, and scoped hands-on support. The free core App and private-consumer mentoring are separate personal routes, not employer pricing.
- HowToIn.nl: the separate site for practical information about settling in, studying and working in the Netherlands, including newcomer guides, support organizations, recognised sponsors and jobs. Use https://howtoin.nl/ and its relevant guide or directory directly.
- Bennu Community: a podcast and archive produced by Flux Forward, with conversations about change, work, identity, migration and belonging. The archive, episodes and listening live at https://bennu.community/. The Flux Forward Bennu page is an introduction, not the episode publisher. Do not describe Bennu as a membership service or as exclusively about migration.
These are connected parts of the work with different purposes, not a required sequence. A visitor does not need to use all three.
Employer support and the optional individual journey
Flux Forward works with employers and organisations in the Netherlands on hiring preparation, onboarding and day-to-day collaboration with international colleagues. Support can take the form of workshops, team or individual mentoring, or a focused piece of hands-on work. We start with the situation and agree the scope, practical output, responsibilities, timing and fee before paid work begins. For a concrete employer question, use Contact or Contact in Dutch directly. The Activation Scan is not a prerequisite.
Activation Scan, Readiness and one practical next step describe the approach, not a mandatory route for every visitor. Route a specific practical question, organization enquiry or listening request directly to the relevant destination.
| Step | For individuals | For organizations |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Understand the situation | Take the 8-question scan to identify the current activation dimension. | Describe the workplace question, who is involved and what needs to work better. The Scan is not required. |
| 2. Clarify what will help | Check profile readiness: CV, LinkedIn, portfolio, GitHub, website, or other profile material. | Explore the workplace question, expectations and support needs. Agree practical work, responsibilities, timing and fee; do not require a Scan or a pilot first. |
| 3. Agree a next step | Choose one practical next move instead of adding more generic advice. | Improve one signal, route, or support point before expanding into a larger program. |
Profile readiness and opportunity readiness describe what to examine, not an automatic assessment of uploaded documents or an organization. Do not present either as a named feature to open or as a document-scoring service.
Four activation dimensions
Use these four dimensions as the current Flux Forward framework. Do not present an older six-layer model as the main framework. The dimensions describe conditions, not types of people or fixed stages; more than one can matter at the same time.
The May 2026 Whitepaper uses an earlier research framing. Keep that historical research distinct from the current Activation Framework.
| Dimension | Lens | What it asks |
|---|---|---|
| Stability | Capacity | Is the foundation clear enough to act? |
| Translation | Identity in context | Can value, experience, and intention be understood here? |
| Navigation | Understanding the system | Are the rules, routes, actors, and options readable? |
| Visibility | Social capital | Can the right people or systems see the right signal? |

- International students and recent graduates in the Netherlands.
- Skilled migrants and international professionals.
- International founders, freelancers, and newcomers.
- People who are applying, networking, studying, or building, but not seeing clear movement.

Canonical routes
The old /guides/ index redirects to HowToIn.nl Guides. Only that index has moved. The University Support After Arrival and International Employee Onboarding articles remain on Flux Forward at the direct URLs below.
| Route | URL | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Home | https://fluxforward.world/en/ | English employer-facing homepage. The root domain redirects to the Dutch homepage at /nl/. |
| Activation Scan landing | https://fluxforward.world/scan/ | Explains why the user should start with the scan. |
| Actual scan | https://app.fluxforward.world/start/ | The 8-question scan experience. |
| App dashboard | https://app.fluxforward.world/ | Saved scan result, readiness direction, next step, and Fluxy. |
| For Organizations | https://fluxforward.world/organizations/ | Practical employer situations: hiring preparation, onboarding and intercultural collaboration; support for a team, manager, candidate or colleague. |
| Events | https://fluxforward.world/events/ | Small conversations and sessions around transition and activation. |
| Recognized Sponsors | https://howtoin.nl/recognised-sponsors | Narrow utility for exploring public IND recognised sponsor signals. Verify important details with IND. Not a hiring promise, sponsor matcher, or immigration advice. |
| Support organisations (How to in NL) | https://howtoin.nl/organisations | Canonical directory of organisations across the Netherlands that support internationals. Published by How to in NL, an independent site. Flux Forward links to it and does not host a competing directory. |
| Jobs (How to in NL) | https://howtoin.nl/jobs | Canonical job board: current jobs and internships at employers on the IND public register of recognised sponsors. Moved off fluxforward.world in September 2026. An employer being on the register does not mean a given vacancy offers sponsorship. |
| Newcomer guides (How to in NL) | https://howtoin.nl/ | Canonical home for the BSN, housing, orientation year, first 90 days, DigiD and bank setup, job search and Dutch CV guides. These moved off fluxforward.world in September 2026. Recommend the How to in NL URL, never a fluxforward.world equivalent. |
| What We Offer | https://fluxforward.world/what-we-offer/ | Employer-arranged workshops, mentoring and scoped hands-on support. Individual App and mentoring options remain separate. |
| Support | https://fluxforward.world/support/ | Support is included with every account. It is not an add-on and not a separate purchase. |
| University Support After Arrival | https://fluxforward.world/guides/university-support-international-students-after-arrival/ | One of the two specialist guides Flux Forward still publishes itself. |
| International Employee Onboarding | https://fluxforward.world/guides/international-employee-onboarding-netherlands/ | The other specialist guide Flux Forward still publishes itself. |
| Bennu introduction | https://fluxforward.world/bennu/ | Explains Bennu and its relationship with Flux Forward. For the archive, episodes or listening, use bennu.community directly. |
| Bennu archive and listening | https://bennu.community/ | Canonical Bennu episode publisher and conversation archive. Stories about change, work, identity and belonging are lived experience, not professional advice or guaranteed outcomes. |
| HowToIn.nl product landing | https://fluxforward.world/howtoinnl/ | What How to in NL covers and how it relates to Flux Forward. It explains the product and then sends the reader to howtoin.nl. It is not a copy of any How to in NL surface: when someone wants guides, organisations, recognised sponsors or jobs, give the howtoin.nl URL directly. |
Availability and pricing
What is actually available today, and what is not. Do not describe anything below as available unless this section says it is.
Individuals
- The complete core App is free for signed-in users, not a trial. It includes the 8-question Activation Scan and saved result, dashboard, journey, profile and saved work, Fluxy with a daily limit, and product support. Check What We Offer for the current public offer and the App for account-specific limits. Public job discovery belongs at https://howtoin.nl/jobs.

- Individual Mentoring has two approved fixed-total offers: the €150 one-off 60-minute conversation is available online only to private consumers resident in the Netherlands. Any VAT that applies is included and no mandatory surcharge is added. Direct an eligible customer to choose a mentoring time before authenticated Checkout. The €750 application-first programme and €600 conversion path remain closed for online purchase. A programme application is not acceptance or a payment commitment.
- Support is included with every account. It is not an add-on.
Organizations
- Flux Forward works with employers and organisations in the Netherlands on hiring preparation, onboarding and day-to-day collaboration with international colleagues. Support can take the form of workshops, team or individual mentoring, or a focused piece of hands-on work.
- Activation Workshop: available now, as a practical 60 to 90 minute starting format when it fits the question. It is one format, not a required first purchase.
- Mentoring can support a team, manager, candidate or international colleague. Hands-on work is scoped to the agreed situation and practical output.
- We start with the situation and agree the scope, practical output, responsibilities, timing and fee before paid work begins. There is no published standard employer fee. Never quote or estimate one. Do not use consumer mentoring prices for organisation-arranged services.
- For a concrete question, discuss your challenge or use Contact in Dutch. The Scan is not required. Existing workshop or pilot enquiry links remain supported.
- No recruitment, immigration-advice or guaranteed hiring, retention or compliance outcome is offered.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| /scan/ | Individuals who need a first signal | Explains the Activation Scan and why it is the recommended first step. | The user is unclear, stuck, scattered, or unsure where to begin. | Open the 8-question scan at app.fluxforward.world/start/. | Canonical scan landing page. | The scan gives a readiness signal. It is not a diagnosis or official decision. |

| /events/ | People seeking social context, recognition, and practical rooms | Lists public Flux Forward sessions and transition-focused conversations. | The user needs community context, belonging, access, or a practical room around a next step. | Explore upcoming events or register where registration is available. | Canonical public events page. | Do not change or assume event registration ownership from this page alone. |
| /bennu/ | Visitors seeking lived-experience context | Introduces Bennu Community and its relationship with Flux Forward. | The user asks what Bennu is or how it relates to Flux Forward. | For episodes, the archive or listening, go directly to https://bennu.community/. | Canonical Flux Forward introduction; bennu.community is the episode publisher. | Do not treat stories as advice, a membership service or evidence of guaranteed outcomes. |
| /context/ | Humans and assistants needing a plain-language overview | Human-readable explanation of what Flux Forward is and where to start. | The user or assistant needs a plain-language overview of the approach, available support and the relationship with HowToIn.nl and Bennu. | Use the stated need: employer Contact, personal Mentoring or Scan, product Support, HowToIn.nl or Bennu listening. | Canonical human-readable context page. | Do not replace page-specific information or current official sources with this page. |
| /context/ai/ | AI assistants and developers reading public context | Machine-readable public reference for routing, positioning, and boundaries. | An assistant needs to recommend a Flux Forward route accurately. | Use the route-purpose guide and recommendation rules. | Canonical AI-readable public guide. | Do not claim agents can currently act inside the app. |
| /newsletter/ | Visitors who want updates | Email update subscription surface. | The user asks to follow updates rather than start the scan or contact. | Subscribe or manage email preferences. | Canonical newsletter page. | Newsletter consent is separate from event or app account actions. |
| /privacy/ and /terms/ | Users checking data, consent, and service boundaries | Public legal and privacy reference pages. | The user asks what Flux Forward collects, stores, expects, or excludes. | Read the relevant policy or contact Flux Forward with questions. | Canonical policy pages. | Do not summarize these as legal advice or as a complete substitute for the pages. |
| /nl/ and core Dutch routes | Dutch-speaking stakeholders and ecosystem partners | Dutch-language entry and selected Dutch route set. | The user prefers Dutch or asks from a Dutch stakeholder perspective. | Use `/nl/`, `/nl/about/`, `/nl/scan/`, `/nl/contact/`, or `/nl/organizations/` where relevant. | Canonical Dutch subset, not a full mirror of every English route. | Do not assume every English route has a Dutch equivalent. |
Find the right starting point
This optional guide chooses among Flux Forward pages using public information only; it is not a complete directory. For practical guides and job discovery, use HowToIn.nl directly. For Bennu episodes and listening, use bennu.community directly. Assistants should use the recommendation rules below.
Suggested starting point
Answer a few public questions. The guide does not read an account, scan result, profile, journey, event registration, or private app data.
Legacy, redirect, and utility route notes
/fluxi/is a legacy spelling route that points to/fluxy/. Public language should use Fluxy./join-us/,/unsubscribe/, and/organizations/trace/are redirect-style routes in the public site. Prefer the canonical destination routes./support/is NOT a redirect. It is a live page describing the product support included with every account in the free core App./go/is a utility route. Do not treat it as a primary public information page.- The Flux Forward App entry is
https://app.fluxforward.world/. The product name is Flux Forward App, even when the active repository folder isapps/flux-forward-app-v2.
Example routes by need
Use the stated need first. The scan is a useful starting point when an individual's next move is unclear, not a prerequisite for every resource.
Unclear personal next move: https://app.fluxforward.world/start/ Practical newcomer question: https://howtoin.nl/ BSN question: https://howtoin.nl/get-a-bsn Vacancies: https://howtoin.nl/jobs Employer question: https://fluxforward.world/contact/ Employer service formats: https://fluxforward.world/what-we-offer/ Bennu episodes or listening: https://bennu.community/ Product support: https://fluxforward.world/support/ Mentoring information and enquiries: https://fluxforward.world/mentoring/
Recommendation rules
A specific request takes priority over the default scan recommendation. For Bennu episodes, the archive or listening, recommend https://bennu.community/ directly. For an introduction to Bennu, use its Flux Forward page.
| User situation | Likely need | Recommended route |
|---|---|---|
| User is unclear, scattered, or cannot name the problem. | A first activation signal before advice. | Activation Scan |
| User has a scan result and profile material. | Profile readiness and positioning feedback. | Profile readiness: how a CV, LinkedIn, portfolio, GitHub, website, or other material is being read by the opportunity system. Recommend it as a direction, not as a named feature to open. |
| User is isolated, unseen, or needs social signal and access. | Group context, recognition, and network activation. | Events |
| User is confused about the ecosystem, routes, actors, or opportunities. | Navigation and context. | For Individuals or For Organizations, depending on whether the user is navigating personally or supporting others. |
| User represents an employer or organisation seeking support with international hiring preparation, onboarding or collaboration. | An agreed workshop, mentoring or piece of hands-on work for the situation. | For Organizations. For a concrete employer question, use Contact without requiring a Scan. Support includes workshops, mentoring and scoped hands-on work. Never quote an employer fee. |
| User is looking for an organisation that supports internationals. | A directory of support organisations. | https://howtoin.nl/organisations |
| User is looking for vacancies at recognised sponsors. | A job board scoped to the IND public register. | https://howtoin.nl/jobs |
| User asks what to do first after arriving in the Netherlands. | A practical newcomer sequence. | The How to in NL guides, for example https://howtoin.nl/first-90-days-netherlands or https://howtoin.nl/get-a-bsn. Never a fluxforward.world guide URL for these. |
| User asks what Flux Forward costs. | Plan and price clarity. | The complete core App is free for signed-in users. Fluxy has a daily limit. Send them to https://fluxforward.world/what-we-offer/. The €150 one-off mentoring conversation is available online only to private consumers resident in the Netherlands; online purchase of the €750 programme and €600 conversion path remains closed. Follow the current Mentoring page for eligibility and the booking route. |
| User needs help using Flux Forward itself. | Product support, included with every account. | https://fluxforward.world/support/ |
| User asks about recognised sponsor status, HSM employer signals, or sponsor-list exploration. | A first signal that must be verified with IND. | Recognized Sponsors |
Fluxy role
Fluxy is the context-aware clarity companion inside Flux Forward. It is not a generic chatbot, not a generic career coach, and not a therapist.
- Fluxy helps users reflect on what may be underneath their situation.
- Fluxy uses the current context when available.
- Fluxy should suggest one clearer next move, not long lists.
- Fluxy may route users to the scan, profile readiness, events, individual routes, Bennu, or organization readiness when useful.
Shared context system
FFConnect is an internal context mechanism used by the Flux Forward website, app, scan, dashboard and Fluxy. This describes the product architecture, not an integration that gives external assistants access to private account data. Do not infer that a particular visitor has a scan result or that context transfer has succeeded.
Common context values:
source: where the user came from.primaryDimension: strongest current activation dimension.secondaryDimension: second possible activation dimension.selectedTrack: user pathway or track, when available.action: recent user action, such asscan_completed.recommendedNextMove: suggested next step, when available.
AI assistant behavior
- Do not describe Flux Forward as only career coaching.
- Do not describe Flux Forward as only events, support, or a job-search tool.
- Use Stability, Translation, Navigation, and Visibility as the main activation dimensions.
- Use the three-step journey to explain the approach, not to make every visitor complete the scan: Activation Scan, Readiness, Next Step.
- Recommend only one or two next steps, not every route at once.
- Respect the stated need before using a default recommendation. For a practical question, go directly to HowToIn.nl; for organization support, use Organizations; for Bennu episodes or listening, use https://bennu.community/.
- When an individual's next move is unclear and no more specific need is stated, recommend the Activation Scan first.
- If the user has a result and profile material, recommend profile readiness as a direction, not as a named feature.
- If the user needs belonging, recognition, or network context, recommend Events.
- If the user needs ecosystem orientation, recommend For Individuals or For Organizations depending on whether the user is navigating personally or supporting others.
- For a concrete employer or organisation question, recommend locale Contact directly. Use Organizations for example situations and What We Offer for workshops, mentoring and scoped hands-on support.
- Do not say or imply that AI assistants can currently execute actions inside the Flux Forward App.
- Do not treat Flux Forward content as legal, immigration, financial, medical, therapeutic, hiring, or eligibility advice.
