Founder
Meet the founder.
Ben Brink
Founder, Flux Forward
Ben founded Flux Forward after seeing how easily international talent can get stuck between systems, expectations, and opportunities, even when people have the skills and motivation to move forward.
His own experience of navigating countries, cultures, and different fields shapes the way he approaches that problem. He connects practical tools and lived experience with insights that help organizations understand where support, opportunity, and international talent are not meeting.
Ben leads the work directly. Flux Forward is intentionally founder-led: clear ownership, direct responsibility, and collaboration with independent specialists when their expertise adds value.

Why it exists
A good start takes more than a capable person.
A new colleague may be learning a role, a workplace culture and life in the Netherlands at the same time. Their manager and team may also be adjusting to unfamiliar ways of communicating and working.
Our focus is on what the people involved can change together: clearer expectations, useful support and practical working agreements.
The organisationArranges the support and agrees what the work should achieve.
The manager and teamWork on communication, feedback and day-to-day expectations.
The international colleagueReceives support for their role, questions and next steps.
How we approach the work
Context first. Practical action next.
A workshop, mentoring or hands-on support may be the right fit. We choose the format around the situation, not the other way around.
Understand the situation.
Start with what is happening at work, who is involved and what needs to improve.
A real question
Hear both perspectives.
Look at expectations and experiences on both sides, rather than treating the international colleague as the only person who needs to adapt.
Shared understanding
Agree on a practical change.
Make the next action clear, including who is responsible and when to review it.
A practical next step
A framework, not an entry requirement.
The Activation Framework helps us explore barriers through Stability, Translation, Navigation and Visibility. You do not need to complete the Activation Scan before working with us.
